Default AWE Tuning manifolds...are they worth the extra $2,500+ for stage III?

< 10 hp/20 ft lb.

You can say it costs them a lot to build them, but then they go and charge $3k for a 4.2 T chip set!

Default I'm here to talk about it: what don't you like?

And they cost much more than you think when you factor in time. Despite claims that our design takes shortcuts for ease of maufacturing, I assure it is quite the opposite. All the transitions from head flange diameter to primary runner diameter are done from a velocity aspect and not a packaging aspect.

It would be a ton easier to make these primaries the same diameter from head flange to collector (just like the downpipes), but *that* is a true manufacturing shortcut.

Default I think you answered your own question ($2500/10hp). Although "worth" is subjective...

I'm not knocking AWE in any way as I respect their research, product line, and customer service. I just don't think this mod is worth the $$.

Default IMO no, but worth is subjective. if you're looking to milk the absolute max from K04 based turbos

then they might be worth it to you. otherwise, i think your money would be best spent elsewhere.

fwiw, asp sells similar manis for half the price.

What about port/polishing the stockers (~$500).
