I drove one 2 weeks ago... and I've been very tempted.
I agree with much of what you said, but the car is deceptively fast. Look down at the speedo and say "holy &$^#" rather than feel it in the butt, kind of fast.
The suspension was awesome, for a stock suspension. The steering is light at first, but firms up at high speeds. I liked it a lot, but can't justify the price.
But I'm still tempted. And I'm waiting to see what happens with the B6 RS4.

People have said that the car doesn't "feel" as fast as it is because the suspension tuning...
is done so that you do not feel the G forces as much when accelerating. This makes the car feel slower on the butt dyno.

GG tax was on a seperate smaller sticker. Sorry for the confusion.
It was $50k+ not including the GG tax. Nearly $52k with it.
