Default Is the B7 chassis truely differ from the B6 ?

Or is it just a suspension tweak here and there from the B6 to B7?

Default chasis is still 8E, B7 is just the model designation....

B6 and B7 are both on the 8E Chasis.

Default Technically, the alpha-numeric moniker refered to vehicle platform: Segment (B) & Generation (7)

However, I haven't read anthing that convinces me the B7 platform isn't identical to the B6. Thus it seems Audi is breaking from historical internal naming convention with the B7, using it as a *model* designator versus true platform nomenclature. Guess they figured this more-than-just-face-lifted mid-cycle product update to the B6 warranted a next-generation designation.
