Do they make one that comes with a mini-shifter(6 speed of course), and a little steering wheel?

For an infant seat, we are using a Graco DX5. I have it installed in the center, but the center belt doesn't really stop it from rotating. I have actually crossed both back shoulder belts. It holds the base well, but doen't make it very comfortable for anyone else to sit back there. I also have to leave the handle on the carrier up, or else I would have to be moving the front seats back and forth....

I actually have two (!) child seats in mine now, a rear facing infant seat on the passenger side and this one on the driver's side. Rear passenger room is NOT an A4/S4 strong point.

Here's a better shot of the car seat, in my '98.5 A4 ... it's a Cosco Alpha Omega, a seat I highly recommend (we have two, one for both my wife's car and mine):

Although maybe not as solid as the Recaro seat, the Simpson Race seat has a five-point harness, looks cool and doesn't cost a fortune.

Simpson Race Seat

I just upgraded my little girl to a Century Breverra <sp?> convertible. She was still in her first forward facing seat with the overhead arm and it just took up too much room. I mean, she's not quite three years old and didint have enough legroom.
New seat is convertible to a booster (pull out the 5-point harness), is one of the top-rated by Consumer Reports, and runs about $70. She's got plenty of room now, even with front passenger's seat in a comfortable riding position for my wife. I think the CR top model, a Fisher-Price Grow with Me, is no longer offered.

They have a Porshce seat designed to fit into tight spaces, pricey though. I just use a standard seat, put it in the middle and squeeze my kid into it. I almost long for the bigger back seat of the new A4, I am considering the A4 Cabrio because of the back seat and the coolness factor. Good luck.

But it is made incredibly well. It looks like better construction than the stock S4 seats!

its not that great. It is built like a typical low-mid range baby seat. The harness is really cool though! Not really the quality of a high end seat like a Britax.
