Default Yeah, I agree

Thank you for all of your help, it's been great. Hopefully I don't have to tear into the motor, should find out tomorrow.

Default Yes I do. Well, I think my digicam does quicktime (canon powershot)

I'll try to record tomorrow and post on Audiworld. I was planning on doing just that, but forgot.

Default You're right

It does SOUND like 1 bad lifter, but if I'm in there anyways, might as well start replacing stuff I don't ever want to again...who knows what the camshafts look like too I really can't feasibly do this now so the S4 may become a yard car for a while

Default Ok, I'll have to see what my mechanic thinks and get back to you

Can you e-mail me with any details on the heads? Also, would I only need to replace heads if I had bad lifters/possibly cams?

Thank you!

Default No it is not, all you need...

is a 45 torx head and a wrench around it and use that to undo the screw that's holding the oil pump gear to the oil pump shaft.
I did it like that and it was very easy. Any other way is close to impossible as the chain does not flex froward and back a whole lot.
