Default Banjo bolt for turbo

Hey guys, had my car in for some service (aftermarket warranty), apparently the "banjo bolt" that clamps a turbo line was missing (had fallen off).

How's that happen? Is it a sign of poor mechanic work?

Default You would have a huge oil leak if that were the case... Sign of terrible mechanic's work

I remember I had to get a new one for my A4 a few years back and it was like $70.

Default no good. They better not charge me, they were the last ones to touch the turbos in the first place.

I haven't seen any oil dripping however, I believe it's a pressurized hose, def leaking air, not sure about oil.

Default Oh, it's probably the small one on the compressor housing

If so, that's the air line that goes back to the N75 solenoid valve to control the wastegates.

Default Yah, probably that one... I forgot there was one there too....

If it were the one for the oil you would have known about it very quickly.

Default That would make perfect sense. I was throwing 17963 and that has been linked to boost leaks

in particular N75 and wastegate issues.

Thanks for the pointer.

17963 has been a real pain in the ***:

maximum charge pressure limit exceeded
