Default After adding the Bar's Leak my sodium #'s started dropping. I'm due for

another check soon, so I'll see what the latest numbers are. I had a very accurate mark on the coolant expansion tank, and can park the car in the same location within my garage, so I track the coolant level very closely. Since the bar's leak went in around May the level is maybe one mm lower.

I think you should wait for the next analysis before making any conclusions.

Default Well, its a good time to do bigger turbos, 2.8 heads, cams, valvesprings, etc.

And I agree that its usually more palatable to do repairs along with an upgrade or two, but in my case, I'm limiting it strictly to repairs to keep costs down.

If my current block proves to be ok (i.e., if its one of the heads that is the source of the coolant leak), then I have that to build up at my leisure while I'm driving my S4.

Default I think your block is OK. Someone had mentioned something in the pistons or about that area

that might cause a leak. I'm not an auto techie but had similar problems with my S4. According to the Audi Factory Rep. Its what I just mention.

Default I wonder what others think about the ATF flush.

I know that AWE posted about it in the past as an option. Would be too to get more feedback. BTW my oil analysis (first) was sent to blackstone Friday so they should e-mail me the results sometime this week.

Default What happened?

I see from a post here that you had a leak? Coolant leak? Have a link to your problem? Sorry to hear - I'm ironing out a whole slew of problems now but have been way too busy to post recently.

Hope all is going well,

Steve

I know my eyes got watery when they told me. I'm happy as it can be.
