I have a 2000 S4 with 93octane APR programming
My battery was feeling weak and then sure enough it died and my car would not start. The gauges were dead and wiggling a little bit. I had the car jumped and the gauges did not work. The car drove fine for 40miles then started bogging down (feeling like it was running very rich), rough idle, and I shut it down. The car was then jumped again and the gauges worked, the car drove for another 30miles and I got a new battery and had my alternator tested, it passed the tests. After the battery the car seemed to work fine until the next day when it bogged down again.
I had the codes cleared and the throttle positioning reset at a shop. It has been running just fine for the past 2 days.
The codes:
17861 P1453 Exhaust gas temperature sensor 1 open/short to B+
17865 P1457 Exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 open/short to B+
16815 P0431 Warm Up Catalyst; Bank 2: Efficiency Below Threshold
17539 P1131 Bank2-Sensor1 Internal Rsistance too High
Also cylinder misfires on all
I have replaced the EGTs in the past and even tho the codes show up without a hard CEL, my mechanic tested the readings while driving and says they are measuring the temperature properly.
The NEW codes are the Warm up Catalyst and Sensor 1 code.
Do you all think I need a new sensor (O2?) if so which?
THANK YOU
Previous Replacements:
Throttle body boot
710n bypass valves
both EGT sensors
Been pressure tested recently
