just the damaged head? i think sould be the time to upgrade, since k04s still so new. and i'm gonna have the engine open should at leats make it a little stronger.
i would hate to have another issue with the other head.
i do value your opnion, so what you think?

The machine work basically makes it like new so no sense in having one "new" head and one old head... might as well freshen up both for only slightly more labor/cost.
We work with an excellent machine shop that does the cleaning and cutting of the heads and valves (as well as our block work). The cost for them to do a pair of heads (once fully disassembled) is less than $600, IIRC.
Head dissassembly and reassembly takes 6-8 hrs. You do need to pull the engine to get the heads off and on (but if you are doing K04s hybrids, you'd be pulling the engine anyway).

you said "replacing the cam seal, bar was not on right rotated the cam when putting the bolt back on"
what do you mean you "rotated the cam when putting the bolt back on"? You mean the bolt that goes threw the cam pulley? AFAIK the cam pulley and cam do not actually move in sync, I have personally rotated a cam about 90 degrees (with the cam bar working like a leverage) and did not have any problems..perhaps the extra 180 degress u went was the deal breaker?

the bar came off(not on right) and rotate the cam since the bold torques the cam.
The srocket rotate too but that was not the problem.
