I have to share my frustration and dissatisfaction with Bentley Publishers.

I just found out that they have stopped supporting the $130+ dollar repair manual I purchased. I can no longer install the product which I know works fine.

I now have to pay even more money to get it working again. I can't think of any software company out there that prevents you from using a product you have already purchased, regardless of age.

The product was poor in the first place, and now this! Alldata.com is free at my local library and it has more complete info than this vehicle specific manual.

I’m sure there are similar threads to this, but I had to share.

like you reinstalled and need to activate it again?

i'm on my second activation now as I run it on a virtual xp machine on my macbook.. hopefully no issues moving forward if i need to install it again.. what a pain

I bought it and have yet to install. Do you mean to say I won't be able to install the software on my XP machine?

I think the issue is that the version many people bought works only up to the XP OS. Now people are upgrading to Vista/7 and they are learning they have to buy an entirely new version to work with those OSs. The way lsc2g is running it on mac is possible under 7 as well, not sure about Vista. You can run a virtual XP version inside of 7, and that should allow you to run the previous Bentley version.

bentley online has updates to the program itself and you load your stuff into it.. thats what i did last time i had to reinstall it.
