Best boost guage? Cluster, Vent, A-Pillar-pods (risky with Airbags?)
Looking for a Boost Guage - none of them seem quite right, anyone got any recommendations, or other suggestions ?
AWE: Driver-side vent
- Pro: Vent is still partially usable.
- Con: Lose ability to direct air-flow. And I really like chilling in my nice A/C during NorCal summers :-(
APR: Guage completely uses center-vent
- Pro: Looks neat. Driver/Passenger vents in-tact
- Con: Completely blocks vent air-flow. Rear passengers lose their only vent
AMS/SupremePower: A-Pillar POD
- Pro: Easy to read. Doesn't mess with vents or holes in dash.
- Con: Safety. Will I end up wearing it on my forehead if air-bags deploy ?
Anyone with one of these A-Pillar jobs ever had any experience with air-bags ? No problems ?
Stratmosphere: Integrates LED Bar graph into RPM Speedometer
- Pro: Don't lose any vents
- Con: Mucking with Instrument Cluster is hard to undo. And most importantly : I lose my nice "S4" logo, for an O.CT mark ? No way !!!!
Anyone know of a way to put an S4 logo back over the tuner logo ? Maybe Stramosphere should provide stickers ?
Tech Reactions / Zusatz Instruments: Integrates EFU sensor readings into Instrument Cluster Digital Display (via the CAN bus)
- Pro: Slick. No integration headaches.
- Con: $$$$$. Too slow - only updates 4 times a second
Plea to tuners - isn't there a better way to integrate this with the Audi S4 Experience ?

It's not like they don't come out and leave no trace...
I have the Silroan/APR center mount, plus an Omori electric. It looks quite factory.
I'm not a fan of digital guages. It's too difficult to discern curves.
As far as the A-Pillar issue, I recall seeing test "firings", and apparently the guage stays in the pillar cover, which merely flips forward.
