Default Best ECUx connection settings? Serial HEX+CAN cable, WinXP. Post your baud rate/connection method...

(e.g. standard, accurate, UART).

It's been months since I've coughed up the dough for this program and I'm still trying to get the damn thing to work properly!

I have no issues connecting with AWP 1.8T VW engines, but for the life of me, I can't get it to talk to a B5 S4. And I've tried several vehicles.

I always get a "no result received" error.

Default Ugh. ECUx is a PITA to get running right. I bought a PCMCIA card with serial connection to run it...

14,400/Standard for a long time now with this cheap Chinese serial VAG cable and aforementioned PCMCIA card with serial connector.

One day, it all of a sudden stopped working with my genuine Ross-Tech USB cable and nothing I could do would make it work. It took me a year or more to ever get it working right with a USB in the first place so I gave up and went serial after that.

Default Ha. I'm so where you were. Ok...then nothing. I have all that and mine still won't work right.

Chinese chicken foot master even had issues getting it to work. His remedy was to suggest a total *.* of the HD and start over. I'm in the process currently. Hopefully the pcmcia will work. Looking forward to it connecting EVERY time and not just one out of ten times!!!

Default What OS are you using? XP? 2K? I own three cables, and same result with them all.

One genuine Ross-Tech HEX+CAN, and two cheap Chinese eBay cables (one serial, one USB).

My laptop has a serial port but maybe I'll try serial through a PCMCIA card.

I don't understand why it seems to work so effortlessly with other engines (AWP 1.8T, as mentioned above) but with the APB 2.7T it acts as though it's on crack.

Whaa? After all we've been through? Did you try the program removal and proper versions?
