Default I may be mistaken, but I believe shaft play is reduced when the turbo is fed full oil pressure.

The shaft play may not have been so bad during actual running.

Jacob, can you comment?

Default Doc I prefer to stay on the maps at 6500rpms, you are on the very edge at 20psi up there and

although there is more room(proven time and time again I know) I just don't want to go there for my daily driver. My car runs 3.3s at 24 psi as does MarkPs as does GatorAls etc... I guess I could make this permanent with a MAP clamp and MBC but choose to let the ECU do what it was coded to.

My point is all it takes is more boost to achieve this on APR, AWE, ASP stuff... timing and fueling are already there. Running more psi/BAR produces this with no other changes/tweaks.

Have you done this? If you have I would really appreciate the data for my Engine Simulator.

Most inject post-IC, so MAF readings are unaffected.

Default i agree, my old k03/k04 had plenty of shaft play before i put them in..........

never had 1 problem with em while they were in. niether has the new owner. i think what verruckt said is correct.
