It seems my car is still making no boost with the new KO4s and perhaps the underlying problem here is a horribly failed exhaust manifold that will not allow enough exhaust gas to spin the turbo.
Yep, I'll make a post in the AM about all this but I'm a bit frustrated to say the least

It also depends on lots of things like driving style, weather conditions, etc.
I've heard/seen so many cars running that type of boost curve on K04s..and only Jason's have been documented of blowing after a couple track sessions without lowering the boost. Real conclusive. :-/

setup and iam pretty confident it would work well with other cars but sometimes i wish my part throttle was a little more forgiving than this

Jason just posted that they might not be blown, so who knows. But we're going well beyond designed shaft speeds and TIP differential here, so it makes sense that it'd wear prematurely. Yea, that varies from driver to driver and such.

compressor side housing but probably not enough to make it jam completely.
Remember once you "freed" it up, it spun fine.
Anyway, I took her out for a spin tonight when I went to pick the car up nd what do you know, NO BOOST.
We plugged the driver's side again and bammm - - the car made boost
Plugged the passenger side and couldn't even get the car out of vaccuum and it didn't run so well.
In fact, as the RPMs rose, the vaccuum increased.
Some smart person though maybe there is such a bad problem with my exhaust manifold that the back pressure is enough of a restriction that I can't get enough air to the turbo to spin the exhaust side.
Is that even possible?
WTF - I have no clue.
