Stick with the OEM blades. When fresh, they work perfectly. Plan to change every 5k.

Default 5K .... where do you live that they die so soon?

I get around 15-20K on a pair in the NC area.

Default I've had a set of silblades for about 3 yrs/90k miles and

they still work great. Same on my wife's MDX. But on my daughters Jetta, they chatter like crazy. So I guess the old saying is true, YMMV.

You using their arms too or OEM arms? I made the mistake of ditching the OEM arms I guess.

Default Mine didn't even work well for a day. Solution: I don't drive the S in the rain

That is what my beater (996) is for :P

Default I like to keep them working perfectly. I start to notice a decline in performance after about 5k

It's never that bad, though. Just slightly less than perfect. But fresh OEM ones work so well that it's hard for me to resist replacing them. With my ACNA discount, they're less than $10 from the local stealer. During my warranty period, I was requesting new ones every single time I went in for service.

They're not going to disintegrate after 5k, but it's only $10 to get perfect performance again, so why not?

Default Honestly, I forget. :-(. But I think I used their arms because the passenger

side doesn't have that curve to it that the oem had.
