Thanks for the info. The F1 looks like it would give loads more wet driving traction than the other tires I mentioned.
I noticed that the 235/45-17 size has a diameter closer to the stock Pirelli than the 225. Do you think that the 235 tire would be acceptable on the stock rims, giving a bit more protection?

I took a look under the car and I can't imagine a wider tire clearing the suspension with the stock wheels so 225 it will be.
