Best way to Hardwire a Passport 8500?

I have a new Passport 8500 with a cig lighter cord only, I need to know if I can and where the best place to hardwire the cord is.

Make sure you line has its fuse etc. If you got the hardwire kit from escort you should be set. Wire it up go around the pilar use a credit card to push it in the edge.

take some masking tape, and start rolling it into a tight cylinder, sticky side outward. get it to about 10mm across, and jam it in the gap where you stuffed the wire. it'll keep it from falling out.
