Default Best way to remove brake caliper paint?

I want to take my paint off my brake calipers. I thought of the obvious ways (paint thinner/remover) but will any of these things ruin any of the brake components? Please let me know what the best thing I should use is.

Default i'd remove your caliper from the rotor/pads.

then use brake cleaner or paint thinner i suppose.

Default brake fluid

brake fluid does a wicked job of eating through paint if you don't have any luck with the thinner. something to keep in mind
