Default P21S gel wheel cleaner...

...or if they're really neglected, Kaboom. Search the Detailing Forum archives for Kaboom and you'll see some pretty amazing before and after wheel shots.

P21S Gel wheel cleaner info:
P21S® Gel Wheel Cleaner - for wheels that tend to soil heavily due to higher braking speeds, softer brake pads or infrequent cleaning. Spray on, allow to stand up to two hours, touch stubborn spots with a sponge and rinse off with a sharp stream of water. Gel composition clings to vertical surfaces to provide increased cleaning effect.

P21S Wheel Cleaning Products at Autogeek.net

Default Stock rims...give it a shot of Kaboom bathroom cleaner...let it soak for 5 minutes, then wash and

rinse. Little black specs (repolymerized brake dust) can be handled with WD40 (so I hear).

I wouldn't recommend Kaboom for fancy aftermarket wheels. Finish and
materials vary too much to make the recommendation without reservation. OEM wheels tend
to hold up pretty well to Kaboom...those I'll confess...I'll only use the Kaboom when
absolutely necessary. As soon as I get the wheels spotless again, I throw a few layers of
wax on them...from there on out, simple car wash soap does the job.
