Default Best way to remove paint scrape from another vehicle?

Another car scraped me in the lot. When I was wiping the area down it looks like the other car's paint will come off (I was able to flake off a little when wiping it down.) It looks like my paint probably has some surface scratches, but if I could somehow get that other paint off it would look a million times better. It's not a large spot so I'd hate to take it to a body shop.

Default I'd cross-post this to the Detailing Forum as well...

...lots of knowledgeable people over there.

Default Go get a light carnuba wax with cleaner - I like "The Wax Shop" liquid brand for detailing

and use this a few times on the problem area to gently remove the paint. You can also use a cleaner like Meguires(sp) to remove but you'll need to follow up with polish and then wax afterward.

Default light compound or moderate polish...

if it's already starting to come off when you wash, you probably don't need anything too agressive to get it off. i'd try a moderate polish or a mild compound to get rid of it. i like menzerna intensive polish because it won't leave a big haze on a black car. follow with a finishing polish and wax.

Default Start with bug & tar, before you move on to the heavier stuff

Turtle Wax Bug & Tar has worked for me in the past

Default 3M Imperial Hand Glaze should easily take it off. DO NOT go to a rubing compound if you don't have

to.
