Default bipipe = massive heatsoak issue?

Am I crazy in thinking that a cast iron bipipe coming off the turbo outlet is just a huge heat collector?...

Am debating buying the one in the classifieds, and 200$ shipped seems like a pretty good deal, a good TBB is about 70-100$ - but it seams to me that the bipipe might cause excessively high intake temperatures?

If the bipipe is getting hot from IATs, then it's actually acting as an intercooler.

Default I would bet it's considerably more than 1/100th of a second, but valid point... however under hood

temps still will make that cast iron pipe wicked hot - I dunno... the RS4 comes with just such a pipe natively right? Wondering why no one makes one out of a less heat retaining material... cast iron is used in cookware because of it's excellent heat retention

You do realize the sun's light moves at 3 X 10^8 m/s but still manages to heat the atmosphere

Default Small point- it is cast aluminum not cast iron. They are nice piece of mind...

no more worries about popped TBB's, good place to mount water/meth nozzles, etc.

I don't really think that the amount of time that charge spends in the bi-pipe should cause a heat soak issue.

I'd do it and $200 is a great deal.
