Status:On Sabbatical

I have been meaning to make a matching birds eye maple shift **** for some time now. This is my first attempt. I still need to tweak the stain to match the trim better. I am also at a loss for how to display the shift pattern. I was thinking maybe an engraved disc epoxied to the top. Any other ideas? (sorry for the huge pics)
