Blended in some 100 Octane...
5 Galons of 100 octane plus about 3 galons of 91 left in the tank...
I'm dead stock.
It seems a bit quicker, but I can't really tell if it's just a mind game.
If nothing else, it idles a alot smother and quieter...
That's all.

It might be quicker if your getting knock on straight 91 octane. If you have a VAG tool, you can graph your timing advance and compare. If it's more advanced with the 100 octane mixture, it's definitely detecting knock on the straight 91.
You might look into a water injection system also if 91 octane is the only thing available in your area. They seem to have a dramatic effect on turbocharged cars. My friend can run maximum 19psi of boost on his 3000GT using 93 octane fuel, with a minimum amount of knock. But with the water injection, he cranks it to 24psi (still on 93 octane), and gets virtual zero knock. Personally I think he's a bit crazy since he just dumped over $10k into that motor.
I found a site awhile back that did some tests that showed a dramatic improvement in timing advance and almost no knock when using such a system. I know some people on this forum run them on their S4's also.

Re: yes, your stock ecu adapts to fuel!
Fuel with more octane won't help you if you're not getting any knock in the first place though. If the timing is already fully advanced and the boost is not being backed off, you won't really see a performance increase with it. If one wanted to be nitpicky about it, it could actually hurt your performance a bit because it burns much slower.
With a turbocharged car, it's pretty much only going to help though.

How about this...forget water injection, thats just a band-aid for poor tuning. Instead get a chip installed any 1.0 bar chip should see a power gain even if its not an apr race program. I tried 100 octane in my S4 back when I had a GIAC chipped ECU, no X program, etc, and I did feel a slight boost of top end power especially in the higher gears. Try it
