Have you seen the new A4 commercial where the 3 series guy is fascinated with himself in the rear
mirror while the A4 driver adjusts his and drives away? That TV spot speaks volumes about the mirror mirror on the wall mentality of Bimmer drivers. Check the facts.

BMW is not crap!!!
BMW's racing history is by far, impressive. The M3 became the most winning car in European Touring Car history, winning 1,436 races including World, European and German championships between the years 1987-1990 alone. Also, in 2001 the M3 GTR competed in American LeMans Series with 2 teams, 8 drivers and 4 cars, winning the manufacturer, team, and driver championships.

The M3 GTR was more of a prototype since it never made production. Then, BMW ran from the series
rather than build the car for public consumption or accept restrictions that would make it less competitive. That entry was truly a PR stunt.

I traded in a 91 325iX for my S4 (m)
Both great cars. The build on the iX was phenomenal. Quattro spanks the BMW system
though. Your facts are off by the way. The Audis ruled back then. The BWM was
built to endure hard weather not race. It was imported into the US from 88 to 91.
It didn't sell well (with the exception of CO) as it was terribly expensive for the time.
If I recall correctly mine stickered for 33K in 1991. I bought mine used with 22K on
the clock in 96 for 17K.
