i'm willing to pay extra money to avoid them.

Default yea, i had trouble finding it. i called a few dealers in LA
a few said they had it, the rest were clueless. so i said screw it and started looking for an online source.

there is an "imitation" by "1z" (i think) that is supposedly nowhere near as effective.

Default do NOT put on the bottom window seals (ie. that slides by the window)...
only the parts that are rubber and do not "rub" the glass as it moves up and down.
