Default Body panel gap tolerances - who knows them?
I need to verify how well some body shop work was and need to know what the factory tolerances are for the gaps between:

- front bumper cover and quarter panels
- rear bumper cover and quarter panels
- hood and quarter panels

Please state your source for any answers.

Default Just eyeball it.
If one side's tighter than the other, start walking. I don't think there's an "industry standard" or anything like that.

3 mm, according to Bentley and to the notoriously compulsive-obsessive Dr. Piech.

Default 2-3mm for the hood to quaterpanel...thats all i know.
for that one just split the difference between the two sides...it should be 2-3mm per side.
