Default hm

do you want a shortblock?

you can have it, for free....just pay shipping if i have to ship it..

it's bare and had a melted piston, needs some bore work...bearing caps are fine..

Default I'm just curious, how much damage did the melted piston do and how much of an overbore would it need

I ask because I was recently shown photos of a block that had had a piston holed from detonation and I was curious how much borring that would need.

Default 2-nd that .. u think it's usable?

could it work with stock pistons or it would need new bigger pistons?..
i gues you'd know best if it's usable or not Mike.

Default I would think any amount of bore would mean....

either a sleeve or boring to 82.5 mm and larger custom pistons.

My interest was in a RS4 block that had been damaged and whether a bore from 81 to 82.5 would be sufficient. Remember, I have a 3.0L crank. So 82.5 mm is ideal for me.

If I had a damaged block such as this, that's how I would use it -- overbore to 82.5 and then use a 3.0L crank.

Default Hey Enrique,

definitely let me know when you're ready to be updated with the VAST s/w. Even if you don't do the turbos, the new s/w is so much better than before.

Default thanks...just trying to make it so you can do things in steps

and as I said below, if I can get better pricing on turbos and even make the work a bit more efficient, I would look into lowering the price a bit more.
