alright, here we go. it is not time for the S to get a new pair of lungs, along with some other goodies.
Right now I am running an APR chip at about 19 psi on the K03's. The guy who is going to do my swap to new K04's has asked me this question and though I have looked around, I have still not found a direct answer. here is my question...
By simply replacing the K03's with the K04's along with the appropriate K04 pipes, am i going to be able to run 19psi with the amount of air the K04's are going to be pushing as compared to the K03's? he said he wasnt sure if he was going to have and back down the boost...?
The numbers he estimated for me was the K03's at about 300cc's of air and now the K04's will be around 450cc's?
Has anyone who has simply replaced the K03's and done the new pipes without the fueling kit or anything else run into or heard of this being a problem?
I have the appropriate things done for the upgrade... exhaust, forge diverters, AWE s-flow intake, new samco hose hit...
when doing the K04's, he is going to gut the cats, move the O2's, and she is gettin an RS4 clutch.

assuming it is 19psi spike since K03s can't do 19 at redline. You might be able to run a 5bar fpr and be ok.

yes it is 19psi at spike.
what do you mean 5bar fpr?
in stock mode it hits about 10psi... so is this lookin like with the K04's im gonna have to lose the chip to keep from blowin somethin up?

to around 15 or 16 psi. I think if you run a 5bar, which will increase fuel pressure, you may be okay with 17 or maybe even 18 psi. Either way, the stock injectors will be pretty strained. I've been runing around 15 psi--sometimes a tad more--for 2 years now, with an MBC and no N75 valve or 5bar and my car has run fine.
