Default Boost peaks at 17psi and drops quickly to 12psi and holds

I just installed a manual boost controller. The boost builds quickly, delivery is smoother, but instead of peaking at 17 and going slowly down, it peaks at 17, holds for a bit, then jumps down to 12psi.

I have a GIAC chip. Any ideas why this is happening? Thought? What I should do about it? How much boost do you think I can safely allow?

Default Mine spikes at around 16-18+ and then holds 14-15 so I'm guessing you have a b00st leak somewhere...

I have ASP Software

Default Replace hoses?

Is that the best cure for a boost leak?

Default No, locating and fixing where it's leaking, could be a loose hose clamp

blown TBB, leaking stock IC end caps, etc.etc.etc.

Pressure check, listen and move your hand around, and if need be use a spray bottle with water and soap so you can see if anything bubbles up..

Locate then fix

Default so when it is fixed...

it should hold the 17psi? Or drop, but only to 14 or 15psi?
