Default Boost Problems Giac-X (long)?...>>>

I don't see more than 16 to 17psi till 5k rpms (rarely spikes to 18-19psi) but it doesn't hold steady and it fluctuates alot up and down till 5k rpms. After 5k rpms it tapers off to 14-13psi till redline. What are you guys seeing with the 2001 h-box giac-x? Currently have exhaust, piggie pipes, forge diverters and the darintake mod.

My biggest concern is if I floor it in 4th or 5th on the highway and and I am over 3k rpms how should boost ramp up/hold and act? Should it build up to say 17psi fairly quickly and hold till 5k rpms and then taper off?

Is the fluctuation in psi before 5k rpm at WOT normal?

Just want to know how boost typically builds/acts under WOT with Giac-X... think I may have a boost leak?

Thanks.

Think that you have a boost leak, pressure test first..see what you find

it could just be your giac-x requesting lower boost since the temps are colder.

Default When WOT starting at 3k rpm it should...

spike to 18-19 psi, quickly drop to about 17, hold 16-17psi for awhile and then slowly taper to about 12.5 psi at redline. As bertworks said, you will see slightly lower boost levels in colder temps.

Boost shouldn't bounce all over the place, though.

Default Boost leak

Start there, if none found you will need to post some block 115 logs

Sounds like a minor boost leak. Check your Throttle body boot (hose in between your DV's)
