Nothing against you "DavidCol" but to regulars on here...
Is it just me or does it strike you as odd that this is his first post and it pertains to the theft of HID's? I'm not calling you a thief by any means Daivd but it would be very helpful to a thief to know our replies to dealing with the theft of lights on the S4 for future "boosts". You know, a little R&D for the larceny crowd? Maybe I'm just overly paranoid but it would make sense.

Thing is, with the crappy design of our headlight mounting system, we could say everything...
that is known or being done and it wouldn't really help existing or would-be thieves.
The problem is that anything you do to keep the headlight in place will just result in more damage to the car, which is arguably the more expensive part of the repair.
As for alarms, thieves know that people have alarms; whether or not it scares them away is up to them.
