brake fade...?

brake fade...?
so like 90-0 or even 80-0 gives me LOTS of brake fade around 40-50 down to zero. my set-up is stock rotors/calipers and pbr ceramic pads and pentosin fluid (recently changed)
so what do you think it is? rotors? is this the nature of stock brakes on an almost 4000 lb. car?
thanks in advance

If you mean repeatedly braking from these speeds then yes, you will....
... get brake fade with oem discs / calipers. A single brake from 90-0 should not cause any problems. I only ever felt mine fade when on the track or braking hard from 130+.

well, i think i have bigger problems then.... here's why
when i brake hard from 50-60 to a stop, the tires will easily screech. 90 or 100 to zero with my foot on the pedal HARD, it feels like it loses its braking power at about 50-60 and i find myself pushing as hard as i can on the pedal. coould my rotors just be glazed? btw, this is not repeated braking, this is a "oh crap i just floored it in a 40 mph speed zone and now im doing 100, time to get back down to the speed limit" kind of situation... i raced a g37 tonight and thats when i got on the brakes hard... and its happened before

2nd, though mine just popped out cause I pushed it in lazily.
Scared the hell out of me getting off the e-way and almost rear ending someone cause my brakes were rock hard :/

Try different pads that work at a higher heat range. Even with better pads though,
the stock brakes suck. You'll eventually get fade no matter what you do with the pads - a BBK is a worthwhile investment if you can swing it. In the interim, find yourself a pad that is rated for higher temps. The tradeoff will be that there is less initial bite - especially when they're cold - but they will take quite a bit more heat before they fade.

It's the pads.
Those pads do not have much heat tolerance. I try to avoid ceramics. If you're looking for a quality performance street pad and won't use it on the track, try the Pagid Sport Blue. It's a little pricey and dusty, but it will get the job done very nicely. Be sure to use anti-squeal compound on them.
Seriously, those pads are for people that are more concerned about having clean wheels than the ability to stop well.

i thought the ceramics were supposed to stop better when hot... also, my stock pads did the same
thing. i think its the rotors for some reason... does anyone know all the causes of brake fade cause i'll use that to start my diagnosis
