I have a 2000 S4 which I purchased in December 1999. Current mileage is 41,000 with original brake pads. Curious how many miles other S4 drivers are getting with the original brake pads.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I don't really know exactly, depends mostly on driving habits and frequency of downshifting but your question brought back a funny memory.
My father had a 1981 VW rabbit deisel. The compression on that damn engine was so high that he really never used the brakes, just downshifted. He sold the car years later with 135K on the odometer (broke 1000's of miles earlier) with...get this....the original brakes and clutch. The buyer brought it to a mechanic and he verified that the clutch and brakes were fine and did not need replacing. Makes me laugh....that car almost shook itself apart whey you started it in the winter...LOL
Just a trip down memory lane.

can burn through a set of Pagid Orange race pads in about 3 hours on a track like Texas Motor Speedway.....about 100 bucks an hour just for pads.
