experience this? I dont really have a problem and have ignored the noise in the past but its becoming more and more annoying and I've been increasingly getting worried that this is not normal (Warped rotors or uneven brake pad wear comes to mind). Ferris/ZB, this is the exact noise you heard when Scott backed up my car on the ramps last time I was in the BBQ GTG in brklyn. Should I worry about it or am I just paranoid?
TIA for any input bros!

sand the pads and rotors and the problem will go away (at least for a while) One thing, I have found to lead to premature squeal was using an acidic solution to clean the rims which reacted to the pads causing them to rust on the edges. After Audi redid the brakes up front, I have yet to use anything other than car wash on the rims and no squeal. Now the rear has started squealing and at the next service I will have the dealer fix the rears.

wheel cleaners, yes I have been using Mcquire's Gold wheel cleaner to clean dustbrakes and noticed the rotors (front and rear) rust up lightly after i'm done drying the car. But i've always driven the car right after washing it and applied the brakes in reverse and then forward to get rid of the light rust.

except her's is waaaay loud. Louder than normal, and frankly, annoying and as far as I am concerned, as well as she, NOT normal.
Of course, she took it to the dealer (guess who), and they said it's normal, and she's annoyed at them.
See if they will change out your pads at least, If not, it doesn't take much to burn through them.

remove the pads and chamfer the edge that points up. I can't really explain it well but your pad is shaped like a ) When you go in reverse and hit the brakes the upper part of the ) grabs onto the rotor and makes the groaning. I have heard that it works, but have not done it myself seeing how my brake noise is quite annoying yet.
