i had previously been under the assumption that higher revs= more power= better launch..
On a 6-speed yes, but after reading so many posts explaining that our cars dump the boost at the expense of the torque converter, i was wondering..
lower revs, as many articles state, actually worked
Im gonna be logging boost real-time in vag-com to determine the right point (rpm..) but for tonight, on completely dry pavement
i simply let go around 2100 rpm's and i chirped all 4's..
I was glad to see a perfect launch with my tip!
Of course not going to happen often because of my care for the weaksauce TQ seal..
SUMMARY for the LAZY:
2100-2300 rpm launches in a tip, by brake-torque launching, make for some tire chirping action on dry pavement..
