Default brakes - what pads to get for stock rotors?

i have the OEM pads on OEM rotors front and rear right now, and i think the fronts are about to go out, and i don't think the rears are too far behind.

i do not track my car, but i do drive it hard on the street and on some back road twisties on occasion.

i've heard some dubious stuff about the mintex redbox (which i was going to get without thought), so i thought i'd ask.

also -- do i need to get my rotors resurfaced every time, or is it just something the brake shops charge me for to get more money?

yes yes, STFA is great if you want to hear conflicting opinions on everything.

If you are happy with the stock brake response, go with the redbox, I don't have them but hear the are comparable if not a little better. Oh and WAY cheaper

Default I just put Axxis ultimates on....they are the same pad as the PBR ceramics...I like them so far...

they say they dust less than stock pads, but they dust the same, if not more. If you're putting on new pads, definately turn the rotors. You want a perfectly flat surface when putting on new pads.

Default "yes yes, STFA is great if you want to hear conflicting opinions on everything."

Any answer given in this particular thread will eventually be in the archives. So I guess that means that all you're about to get is conflicting opinions that can be disregarded, and you're back where you started.

STFA and make up your own mind.
