I STFA without too much luck.

My behind rad aux electric fan seems to be kaput. The elect fan in front of the rad runs at full bore with the AC on but nothing from the rear. I'll check it electrically this weekend to be sure. The reason I'd like to fix it is the car sometimes overheats slightly when the AC is running and the car is stopped, and the AC gets warm when the car is sitting in traffic. It gets cool again while moving. The main fan seems to be fine.

The cheapest I can find a new aux fan is about $200 and it seems like a lot for a little electric fan. I know some people are using SPAL 16" high flow curved blades in place of the main fan, in conjunction with the aux fan.

Would the 2070cfm SPAL be enough to cool the motor/ac if the pusher fan was moved to the pass side and the elec puller was deleted or left not working?

Anyone convert their electric puller to an aftermarket brand fan and left the main mechanical?

Any help is appreciated.

I would take a voltage reading just to be sure it isn't the fan controller instead of the fan.

Anyone have any insight on just the single 16" fan?
