Broken brake booster line. How many poeple have had this happen? Filing defect report with NHTSA

Seriously though, what do you expect to be done? Claiming a defective part on a 5-6 yr old car.
I see little that can be done about this even if it was a so called engineering flaw. Just bite the bullet and fix it.

Do people think there should be a major PSA on this topic?
I've seen a few stories about this failure over the past couple of years. It would make sense if someone could bring this to everyone's attention and give a step-by-step guide for reinforcing/replacing this part.

Not because they want to.
I plan on fixing it. Already ordered the part from the stealer and I will be adding extra epoxy glue to it to make sure it stays together. The closest warehouse had 13 of them instock. It will be here in 2 days.
Wonder why they would have 13 of such an oddball part just in this one warehouse not to mention more stockpiled all around the country? Maybe because they are breaking all the time?

DP/Cat replacement...and that was one of the casualties that happened this past Saturday.
We super glued it, and tie-wrapped(redneck, no doubt)because we(I) didn't want it coming apart. I plan on ordering a new one on Monday.
How much are these?
