Budget RS4 Mesh...
#22
I bought that as well, and now the pieces are sitting in my trunk. When I had my bumper put on
DTM Autohaus said this mesh was too heavy and not flexible enough to be installed. If I was going to keep my car, I'd go somewhere else to see if they'd do it.
Since I'm selling my car soon, I would sell the mesh pieces if anyone is interested.

reeeeally... I'm going to try that then. Because the push in and up and pull and swear at it is so
annoying and you feel like this cannot be the way it was meant to come off.

haha, yeah I mean thats what Ltek uses to fill their bumper orders, so of course it works.
I'd sell it if I were you someone will scrap it up.. Use my thread if you have to to show off the final product so ppl can see.

I know what you mean. I had my car stock, brought it from stage 1 to 2, then to 3... But when you
are paying 250 dollars for plastic, don't you feel like your ******* hurts after that? I mean really, I don't care about spending 1000 on an exhaust system that fits perfect and has great sound (AWE Twin 1) but anything OEM is just a rip.

"freaking out" is definitely overstating it. There are several reasons I shyed away (moar)
1. If I don't have to spend $250 to get the same look, why would I?
2. Real RS4 mesh is plastic; this LLtek stuff is aluminum and therefore more durable against road debris, etc.
3. Unless you have an OEM RS4 bumper, you're going to have to cut/ trim the real RS4 mesh. Misjudge it and you need to spend another $75 minimum to get another piece.
4. Since it's just a looks mod and I by no means have a show car, I don't want or need to spend big $$$ to get the tiny incremental benefit of having "the real thing."
5. Only a tiny tiny fraction of automotive enthusiasts will know the difference.
6. Saving money on this means I have more available to spend on go-fast parts and those are more valuable to me.
