A - no, ECU runs independent fuel trims for each bank.

B - It might be that bank 1 was running lean for some reason. Maybe bank 2 EGT's were high, and that's why it was richer than bank 1? I wouldn't be sold that you have a bad/failing o2 sensor just yet, but we are on the internet, and this graph is about all we have to go on. ;-)

How've you been?

Default Who says it just died? He doesn't monitor 02 voltages usually.

He's also had similar performance for a long time so no durastic changes.

Default How hard is it to swap the sensors to make sure the reverse happens?

Just to make sure that indeed one bank isn't leaning out, or that there isn't a leak in the exhaust before the first o2 sensor on that bank?

It would be a great way to confirm it's the sensor itself, and not some other issue ... before plopping down the money for a new sensor.

Default I'd say it's a pretty safe bet that the 02 is dead/dying.

It's a cheap fix and Piggie is going to work on his car in a week or so anyway to install piggie pipes.

Default Hey Mat. :) All other logs I've seen with similar values have been a dead/dying sensor.

I'm pretty confident that's the problem.

Yes, 02s on each bank should be basically the same at WOT.

Default Yes Jordan...I'll admit it...I wish for once that you..

were in Cali so I could hand you my keys, stick you on a phonebook, and go to town on my car. I think it's running weird. But have NO time, energy, or ECUX(took a vacation during the group buy date, but was on the list) to do some testing. Besides, you are a lot better at it than I am. Damn new house takes up all the time in my life if not working...just venting.

Default At WOT, the O2 sensors shouldn't affect performance, so you won't see an increase if you (more)

fix whatever is causing it to differ. THe one caveat to that statement is if the fuel trims were way off for that bank, then they may affect near WOT, but you stated they were both at -.8 multiplicitive (PT).

The only thing except a bad O2 sensor I can think of is the EGT on one side making it more rich at WOT. Check your EGT's and if they are both the same, and/or neither is above 900, then I'd say it's a bad O2 or something funky with the fuel system on that side.

What about S2 on both sides. How does that look - same at WOT for both sides?

Default Don't stroke JD too much.

Sometimes big things come in small packages.

Default If that's the case.......

then with this failiing sensor, you'd be running lean on that bank, higher temps, but probably pushing more power. You may see a reduction in power/slower FATS time, with a new sensor. Ironicly. You know though, cars feel the fastest right before they blow up?
