The notebooks are terrible. Many failures on multiple models. High cost of maintenance (relative to others), component failure. That 3 year warranty had better be an hourly turn around. Because you are likely to be with out computer a few times during the next few years. We are moving to Dell Latitudes and using predominantly Toshiba machines now. Still some Compaqs here and there to be phased out of service. I work for a consulting company where a large portion of the employee total are all equipped with notebooks.
