that this gasket is coming out with the motor still in the car and the front inner timing belt cover still on. Even if i were to get it out there is now way the new one would go in. The clearance on the 3rd post is so incredibly marginal that you couldnt even get a piece of paper threw there.
So my options are now, remove the cam, or remove the entire front end of the car to remove the front inner timing belt cover.
So i'm going to opt with moving the cam up, it really is my ONLY OPTION, my question is, should i expect any kind of forceful rotation or movement of the cam when i lift it up? Any thing in particular to look out for when lifting the cam out/up??
TIA

over the valves just so it wouldnt be so exposed to dirt over night..I'm just asking what to expect when i remove the intake cam, and what are the torque specs for the cam bearings.
That is the only option right now, there is absouletly no way that gasket is coming out or going on with the clearance that it has. For one, the gasket is stuck on the 3rd *post*....anyone that has messed with this thing knows what i mean.

you can see here where i circled the 3rd hole, there is a post under this that the gasket rest over, the clearance underneath it is non existent, therefore the gasket is stuck on this 3rd post. So getting it off is impossible, if i were to get it off, getting the new one, would be totally impossible.
The tensioner simply wont lift up enough.

you can see here, this is the maximum the tensioner will lift up, and this is at the top most part, the bottom of it doenst come up this much.

So do i pull the cam up or what?

just make sure you mark the sprocket and the chain link before doing this in case it shifts. Should give you enough clearence.
