boost the battery through the system positive and negative wires. The key is turning in the door lock, but car won't react. I can open the trunk so I can disconnect the subs and attach booster cables from my a6 4.2 to the positive and negative cables, they are pretty thick but can they take reverse power through it??
Don't see anyother way because my rear seats are in the upright position. Other wise I would send in 6 year old recruit to pop the latch.

Amp wires should be ok
to get enough juice to operate the locks. + to +, - to -.
I'd personally leave the boosting car off (not running) when doing this so the regulator doesn't send a surge of current to the dead battery and blow your amp fuse. Reconnect under the hood right at the battery to do charging/boosting.
