Can a 2000 S4 6 Speed A Box ECU be recoded to work with a 2000 B Box ECU Tip S4?

OK I read the thread and here i my question to anyone... can you code a 6speed box to a tip?

Default He was an M Box...guy sold him an A Box with M code (but the guy lied and advertised it as a std. M)
he drove for 8 months with no ESP or ABS until he figured out all of the recodes.

*edit* my guess: 1) reflash from A to B software 2)login to ECU, recode X, login to TCU change Y

Default I cant say for 100% that it is.
Are you buying or selling an ECU? I'd try and find a local A box you can borrow to test before committing any money.
