as per 0700, i am purchasing his tanoga short shifter. any big differences between this one and the UUC?
also since it is a bit used (no more than a few months) is there anything that is vital for installation in my car that i should not forget?
any help would be appreciated, and thanks 0700!
also anyone in chicago willing to help me out in putting this thing in with the right tools would be apprecaited as well!

is the material used in the construction of the short shifter. Tanogas have a plastic lower portion while the UUC is metal.
UUC's main thing is that it is adjustable from 20-30-40% reduction in shift throw. Tanoga is a set 50%.
The Tanoga has spacers you place beneath the shifter rails. This allows for better leverage and makes the shifting smooth.
Since it is a used unit. Make sure you get the spacers. There should be four of them. Tanoga also comes with an additional circlip.

....much easier (IMHO) than the UUC method.
I can't think of anything you'd need during the install that won't come with the shifter. Make sure you get the four spacers from him.
Also, what year is 0700's S4? And yours? There were some shifter changes over the years and a shifter from a 2000 won't work properly in the latest S4's.

RS4.org Tanoga Install Procedure
