Default Can anyone confirm for me that the T and M boxes are interchangeable? The dealer is apparently

having difficulty finding me an M box, but can get a T box without issue...the chip going into it was tuned on my M box so before I let them get me a T, I just wanted to make sure that I would still be okay...
TIA

Default Absolutely 100% interchangeable. My car is a M box and my brother's is a T box.

He runs an AMS M box ECU in his T box car. I sometimes run his stock T box ECU in my M box car.

2nd, IIRC the T box actually supercedes the M box as far as replacement parts go

Default They are interchangeable.

However, if you are replacing the chip, then you can use any (at least any 6-speed, not sure about the tiptronics) ECU. When you replace the chip on an A-box ECU with one from an M-box ECU, the ECU becomes an M-box. The code on the chip is the only differentiating factor.

Do you notice any difference in drivability with the T-box in your car? (smoothness, etc).

Default ...thinking the plugs are diff between the A and others at the ECU plugs... may be wrong.

... so if you are attempting to swap other ECU combos w/o SW.

Don't forget about the ICluster having to match the software versions if you are swapping boxes/chips/sw.

Default If you have a hex editor and the files you can take a look and see.

Mostly the maps are in different location (even between M & T).
