Can a bad cat ruin an 02 sensor?

I have AWE dp's and cats. I have a CEL and my mechanic told me my drivers side cat is bad. After driving about 500 miles with the bad cat, when I VAGed the car again today, now I think one of my 02 sensors is bad too?? (I just replaced them in July with zoldman's). Could a bad cat cause the 02 sensor to go bad? I'm thinking I'll take my cats off, run test pipes, and send the bad cat to AWE instead of buying a whole new one--or is there a better option? Here are the codes (don't mind the N249 one):
3 Faults Found:
17695 - Boost Pressure Control Valve (N249): Open Circuit
P1287 - 35-00 - -
16805 - Warm Up Catalyst; Bank 1: Efficiency Below Threshold
P0421 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
17965 - Charge Pressure Control: Positive Deviation
P1557 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
TIA
