Printed out instal directions for EGT, but heard they should be replaced in pairs and the drivers side one is a bitch to replace...Also, how the hell can they be so expensive? Wow...that's crazy.

but now they're up around 2 something. Ari was telling me about it. I've heard the stories about replacing in pairs too but I'm not a believer. One will not hurt the other even though they're driven off the same rail. If that were the case, a short to gnd on either would render the other useless. I just replaced my bank 2 sensor (passenger side) without removing the y pipe and my car is a TIP (combi valves in the way). It wasn't too difficult.

the faulty one...I think I'll just do the faulty one first as it's much easier DIY. How long did it take you to replace?

a half hour. Remove airbox and MAF/Accordian hose. Remove (2) 10mm nuts from studs on back of intake manifold holding EGT electronics. Disconnect EGT sensor harness. 17mm open end on old EGT to remove. Reinstall in reverse order and clear codes. Drivers side didn't look fun from the top but may not be too bad in the air.
