They have a pressure regulator installed to prevent overshoot. I don't see how it would work.

Most MBCs have a hole to bleed off pressure in the wastegate line so the the wastegate doesn't get held open once boost pressure drops below the MBC setpoint. The pressure regulator will only allow X psi to go to that line and vent the rest.

If we are using a parallel setup with the N75, the bleed (and pressure regulator) is unnecessary as the N75 bleed does the job for it.

Yep. It's an MBC with adjustable bleed. I ran a setup like this till I discovered AVCR=hotness

Someone said the part throttle ramp-up with the AVCR might cause problems with APR, even with TCD.

DAP has said it doesn't like MBC only. You could probably tweak AVCR for slower ramp up.
