Default Can someone with overseas connections help clear up the LuK pressure plate controversy?

Someone (I forget who) posted a week or so ago about his LuK clutch slipping. He went thru 3 of these and the never held up. It was sold as the oem RS4 clutch and had a LuK pn of 124-0300-10. I have the same PP sitting at home waiting to be installed so naturally I was concerned. I got mine form a reputable source and have since called another well known supplier and he confirmed that number as being the one he sells as being the LuK RS4 PP.
So I called LuK USA and they confirm that it's not a USA number but find the following:
- oem LuK for S4 is 124-0225-10.
- 124-0300-10 is the CR to the RS4 clutch
- the 0300 has approx 10% LESS clamping force than the 0225.

So obviously something is wrong. No way the RS4 PP has less clamping force. So either LuK's CR is screwed up, his info is wrong, or I just haven't drunk enough yet.

Can anyone get confirmation. Is there an easy way for me to compare clamping force? I might just try to get an oem S4 PP and compare the two.

Default I've gone trhu 3 tranny pulls -2 clutches , a friend 1 also. I'd love to know whats going on.

I'd like to hear one positive report on a 0300 PP .Something stinks in Denmark. Very experienced ex Audi techs installed all 3 of our clutches , my second clutch had 3 techs overseeing it , 25 year high end import garage .

Default Sorry, couldn't remember your ID. Let's hope we find out before too many folks

have to find out the hard way. I've got a feeling LuK incorrectly cross referenced to a 2.8 clutch or something like that.
